Touching Bass is the London-based musical movement: an award-nominated record label, club night, concert series, NTS Radio show and curatorial studio — led by Errol & Alex Rita and sustained by a global network of music lovers.

Founded in 2016, Touching Bass has slow-cooked to become one of the world’s most respected musical platforms, earning cult status for its dedication to cultural taste, intention and community approach. 

Errol and Alex Rita have become two of the UK’s most compelling voices in contemporary culture; forging distinct yet complementary, multidisciplinary paths as globetrotting DJs, cultural curators and community builders.

TB’s reputation as facilitators of deeply organic and transcendent experiences has steeply grown over the last few years—both on the dancefloor and within respected cultural and art spaces. Their international touring schedule has taken them to some of the world’s most esteemed spaces, including Open Ground, Venice Biennale, Village Underground, Panorama Bar, Fabric and Glastonbury among others.

Beyond performance, their curation has carved out a unique space for them at the intersection of music, arts and culture. This includes commissions for Frieze Week, Le Guess Who? Festival, Spazio Maiocchi, Tate Modern and Lisson Gallery, as well as their ongoing concert series at the world-renowned Barbican Centre. Their immersive live experiences have responded to major exhibitions at institutions including the Royal Academy of Arts (Kerry James Marshall), White Cube (Julie Mehretu, Ibrahim Mahama) and Dulwich Picture Gallery (Rachel Jones).

Across 2026, they embark on the TB10: 10 Years Of Touching Bass World Tour; partnering with artists, venues and like-minded musical entities for a year-long programme of club nights, concerts and intimate gatherings.

Since launching in 2019, their award-nominated record label has championed genre-defying, soulful music, releasing works from Hiatus Kaiyote’s Clever Austin, cktrl (featuring Duval Timothy), Nala Sinephro, keiyaA and others. At each turn, providing a home for both boundary-pushing experimentalists and channeling the energy of their celebrated club nights through their dancefloor-leaning 12” vinyl series.

At its core, Touching Bass remains anchored by its staple NTS Radio show and South London SMS-driven dance. Both have become playgrounds for sonic exploration, unrestricted by genre and regularly providing early introductions to rising artists and accommodating globally-respected heavyweights alike.
